Behind thick clouds of smoke and bright mink coats stands PATCH BAE, a veteran music-industry pro who made the switch from secret ghostwriter to shining star in 2020. For 13 years Patch was instrumental in some of the biggest radio hits to date, only to be denied credit by music executives and “gatekeepers”. With little to believe in but herself, she quit writing stories for others and started telling her own.

 

PATCH BAE’s musical journey began with classical piano, but evolved into Jazz, Rock, and Dance music in her hometown of Dallas, TX. The now multi-instrumentalist had one instrument talent left to master - her voice. Determined to realize her artistic dreams, she studied legendary vocalists to find what worked for her. This led to performances worldwide, from wine bars in Dallas to Opera festivals in Viterbo, Italy. She later settled in Los Angeles to study production and engineering at Westlake Studios, and started working with a variety of A-List artists as a ghostwriter, top-liner, and engineer. 

 

With her range of experience, PATCH BAE found her sound through collaborations with legendary producers including Nabeyin (Nas, Drake), Doug Fenske (Frank Ocean, Jamie Foxx), Baby Winsch (Timbaland, Lil Pump), and MixedByKM (Wale, Bryson Tiller). Her raspy vocals and out-of-the-box harmonies take listeners into the depths of her emotions, guiding us through her experiences in life, love, and the music industry.
